finally the 1st day of the roadshow. i woke up at 7.30am. showered and went to ascentmedia to collect the DVDs. after which i went to plaza singapura. i alighted at the 7 eleven and bought a M1 hi card. i walked briskly to the front plaza where the alien planet roadshow was located. hazel and penny was already there with the people from senses and a few temps. being a lil paranoid. i quickly checked the premiums which the courier had sent over to make sure nothing is missed out. unfortunately the memo boards were not delivered and JC stuff hasnt arrived. so i called harry and JC. lucky enough. harry was coming down in the afternoon and the memo boards happened to be in his office.
matthew gave a briefing to all the staff and everyone introduced themselves. and as expected i couldnt remember anyone's name except jooe cos she was the first person and skye. my partner for the GTK booth. halfway during the briefing. JC came. 2 guys (who i later remembered their names. keong and andrew) went to collect the stuff. matthew dedicated everyone to their booths. hazel and i explain the different premiums to the 2 guys. keong and andrew who were in charge of the store and stage activities. thereafter carl gave syke, me and two other gals briefing about the GTK booth. the first day response wasnt very good. i wasnt really at my booth. :X i helped out with the redemption counter where jasmine was tending alone. later. hazel asked me to go lunch with jasmine. was rather bored so i started chatting with her. we went for lunch at 2 at the foodcourt. for the rest of the day. we were chatting. haha. dennis, harry, mag, kevin and marcia came down at some point in time and left. there is this idiotic guy who kept calling me ah lian. just the thing i hated people to call me. but showing that i was irritated would only make him irritate me more so i didnt bother. at 7.30pm. everything was packed up. jas accompanied me as i waited for ken to come. we had dinner then went to east coast to meet up juan and jeff. at 10.45. he sent me home. got home exhausted. shower and slept almost immediately.
the second day. i got up at 7.30am. and as usual. my daily routines. i got to plaza singapura at 9.30am. had breakfast at mac donalds. simply felt weak. at 10am. i saw keong and andrew. they were also having breakfast at mac donalds. i joined them for a while. jas came at 10.30 and hazel came shortly later. we helped set up the booths. that day. jasmine and i tended the crime booth. the response was a little better than the first day. we didnt had lunch until 4pm. jas must be starving. my cuzzie. emily came down with jeff. was supposed to accompany her to manicure but was more interested in watching a lot like love. she was rather disappointed. by the time it was almost ending. everyone starting taking pictures with the remaining polaroid films. everyone collected their pay. andrew, keong, jas and I went to cathay to check out the shows available cos the last show at plaza sing was 7.30. we managed to get tickets for the 8.30 show. by the time we entered the cinema. the show already started. no comments about the show. but i love shows with good endings though. after the show. we headed to the mrt station and i took the train home. i realised its been so so long since i took the train. haha. got home at 11.30pm. took a shower and slept at 12+.
to conclude the 2 days of roadshow. it was rather fun. a good exposure. made friends. many interesting, fun and nice people. but the saddest thing was that everyone kept asking if my tattoo was fake. so sad. and i had to say that it was really tiring. much more tiring than working in the office. and everyone would be all sweaty and sticky since afternoon. but i guess we are all happy at the end of the day.
