halloween night
saturday evening, i went to rey's place to get dress and prepare for halloween party. damn rush la, cos we were short of time. reys' bf came to fetch us and haze to zouk. interesting to see all the funny characters people dressed up as, like power rangers, policewoman, princesses, female ghosts, soccer players, angels, devils, demons, monsters.. somehow the scary masks and ghostly faces didnt seem as scary as i thought it would be. we queued for the longest i know. later, we left zouk for mos. i was quite surprised to see most of the people not dressed up, unlike the people at zouk.

sunday, the bf and i went for a japanese buffet near my workplace, hanabi japanese restaurant. the sashimi was damn good. there were lots of variety like sushi, handroll, sashimi, udon, rice, grilled, fried and many more. the tempura, salmon teriyaki and yakitori wasnt too bad too. super satisfying meal. highly recommended if you like japanese buffet. shall try ikoi next time, another comparative japanese buffet restaurant, i heard.

in search for princesses jasmine's shoes
xm and reys came to fetch me to no.1 costume costume. xm and his friend, xiao long didnt managed to get any costumes but we could see that they had fun in there. later, we went to search for our ali baba shoes. an hour later, xm parked the car and we travelled through the lanes by foot. we finally bought our shoes at 29 each, 19 moolah discount, thanks to xm. i thought the sales assistant, niece of the shop owner was very nice to travel up and down with us just for 2 pairs of shoes, cos they had 2 shops and the one we went to initially doesnt have what reys wanted.

after we got our shoes, we went for dinner at an indian restaurant just around the corner. the bf chose to stay in town to wait for me cos he said he didnt know his way there. we had this meat combo on a hot plate, ocnsisting of chicken, fish, mutton and prawn. 25 moolah. the staff was very helpful when xm asked him which is mutton cos dear reys doesnt take them. he kindly scooped the chicken with my spoon to rey's banana leaf, which acts as a plate. then he continued to scoop a prawn and mutton on mine. good service.

then, i saw something unusual at my prawn, a black string-alike tangled around the prawn. i told reys it was a hair but reys and her bf insisted its from the prawn. only after she removed the black string-alike, then she realised that was a hair. we lost our appetite. the manager or some in-charge from the shop asked me if the hair was dyed. if it was, then its mine, he said. its obviously not my hair since its tangled with the prawn, and the hair wasnt too long nor too short. but still, i felt bad i made reys and xm lose their appetite. sorry. maybe i should have just ate it. yucks!

halloween party
i spent my entire evening with the bf, reys and xm at no. 1 costume costume looking for an outfit we fancy for halloween party. no. 1 costume costume is the biggest costume shop in singapore, they carry more than 20000 costumes and its recommended by zouk. it definitely isnt easy looking for an outfit cos they are like everywhere. although theres 5 more days to halloween party, but it seems like half the people has already got their outfit cos there were left with little choices.

reys and i were thinking of fairy outfit, more specifically tinkerbell but they were already rented out. the shop assistant showed me a pixie outfit that i didnt quite fancy. princess outfits and more girly outfits were also rare. i cant even find a simple short dress. in the end, we rented two arabic princess outfits at 60 each. not what i wanted but it was the best we could get.

i havent been to a halloween party, i hope its going to be fun. reys said its quite scary though. i know we are supposed to dressed ghostly, the main purpose of halloween. but who cares. its a day when you can dress as any character you fancy, walk on the streets and no one will think you're out of your mind. i promise i'll look for an outfit earlier next year.

i need some liveliness!!
life's been mundane. getting a lil lazy these days.

i finally bought my shoes at heeren early this week. met up with the bf, grace, cp and reys on wednesday. after reys got her bf's pressie, we joined the rest at nydc. a lil catch up, a lil shopping..

saturday, the bf and i went to macs for some snacks and internet. its so troublesome and we had problems downloading stuff, we gave up eventually. later, we went to alaric's bbq at savannah. the moment we arrived, we were asked to go buy chicken wings at 9pm when we havent even had our dinner. damn bu shuang but what to do. my cuzie looks tired from running around, trying to play the good host.

happy birthday alaric!!!

sunday morning, the bf sent me to tampines for my facial but my stomach flu worked up on me, i had to postpone my facial. we shopped around before having brunch. then, we met up with grace and cp at CS. we headed to bedok jetty for some fishing action. and indeed, fishing is easier than prawning la. im so going to give up on prawning. we used prawns as bait and 10 prawns cost us less than $2. i used to pay $20+ and i dont even catch a prawn. it was fun although we got burned from the sun and we didnt bring home any fishes. we released the fishes that could still live back into the sea.

just another week
monday evening, the bf and i went to paragon for dinner at ding tai fung. we havent eaten that in the longest time, considering we used to frequent ding tai fung alot. the food is just as good as it was before. delightful.

tuesday evening, we decided to go holland v to try out the cold rock ice cream. we didnt have much difficulty finding the place. i took a long time to decide on the ice cream and the lady behind the counter didnt seem very friendly. i picked out double chocolate and ferrero, for the mix-in, we picked gummy bears and almond nuts. the medium cup costs 7.50 and the mix-in is a dollar each. we paid 9.50 in total. my verdict, i wouldnt try it again. i thought its overrated and overpriced. maybe we didnt pick the right ice cream. the ice cream tasted, in my opinion, like cheap ice cream. haagen daz ice cream is so much better.

we walked around to look for places for dinner. we settled for hogs breath. we ordered a bruschetta and chicken dijonnaise to share cos the portion is huge. i never really liked chicken breast but we have limited choices cos the bf cant take beef. but i have to say the grilled chicken breast meat tasted great. this meal made up for the unsatisfying ice cream.

wednesday evening, i met vincent in town. we had dinner at my frequent hangout place again. my brother came later to join us too, he ordered a plate of spagetthi and it came with so lil sauce. the mushroom madness i had earlier on had more sauce than his. so i asked the waitress for some sauce. she disappeared for a fairly long time before i saw her consulting the team leader. she then came to me and said i had to pay a dollar more. i know for additional sauce i have to pay a dollar. but the sauce on my bro's plate was just pathetic and insufficient for the noodle. i mean its unjust to pay extra to get what you should get. the waitress then asked for the team leader. i explained to him that the sauce is too little for the noodle and he just said he'll add more sauce. he took the plate to the kitchen and return several minutes later with more than sufficient sauce. i cant help to suspect that they added extra "ingredient" into it cos he gave a indifferent face. maybe i think too much cos my bro said it tasted fine.

friday, i spent the night playing mahjong with keong, reys and ah cai at eunice's place. i wasnt having much luck in the beginning and it started to pick up together with my headache. earlier in the day, i started having mild headache but i ignored it. then it got so bad, i couldnt play, i asked eunice to help me continue. its always the case. its the second or third time im having headache while playing mahjong with them. the last time was worse. i think im just getting weaker. i recalled the few times i had headache or fever while im clubbing or at a friend's birthday party, more so with this cliche. maybe i hang out with them at night more often. i had headache at rey's chalet last year and i had flu at her party at clinic this year. )=

back to mahjong, im happy i won a lil. i think this is the first time i won against 3 players. i usually either lose or win a few bucks. i was still worried i would lose alot cos i always played the minimum. anyway, sorry girls for my sickly state.

saturday, i met up with the girlies at vivo city for the close door sale at topshop. the event is from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. we got there at 5.30pm and it was already open for public. eunice, reys and i bought some basics at 20% for 2 pieces. we paid $15.20 for each top. then, we did some shopping before having dinner. there were so many people everywhere. eunice and reys went to meet up with eunice's friends while i shop for the bf berms cos he was wet from the rain. i didnt want to wait till he comes cos i think he will stopped me from buying and just do with the damped clothings. i went to quite a number of shops like ip zone, samuel and kevin, thirtyseven degrees, kappa, ripcurl.. i finally managed to get one in his size at freshbox. i was thinking of a top too but i didnt have the time. i met up with the bf, before we went to look for reys at bk.

after he changed, we went to republic foodcourt for dinner. i had the same ol' thing, lotus soup with rice and my $2 lady fingers. the soup tasted better than the last time. the hassle of squeezing through the crowd and finding seats seem all worthwhile. later, we met up with reys, eil and her bf at the open area just outside the food court. reys bf came to pick her 45mins later, 15mins earlier than i had expected. from there, we went on separate ways.

sunday, here i am, updating my blog. i have been home the whole of today. i was supposed to meet angela in the late afternoon. in fact, i have been waiting for her reply since morning. so freaking bored at home. she only woke up at 3+pm. she had to finish her chores before she could come out. after she was done at 5+pm, she msged me and asked if i was riding and i replied her im taking a train. she didnt want me to travel alone so far and her sister was home alone, so she decided to meet another day. after a day of waiting.. )= im sure she would have meet me if i wanted to. but since she said she could have dinner with her sister cos her sister is home alone and i was a tiny wee bit lazy, plus the fact that we could only meet for less than 3 hours seem abit pointless. havent had lunch and dinner so im going to look for food now.

have a great week!

the longest sunday
sunday, i rode the bike to my mum's place and took a cab to pick up my granny. she wanted me to accompany her to her old friend's house warming party. i had a bad experience with the cab driver. the moment he asked me where is savannah when it is just right ahead, i guessed the uncle is either a new driver or hes very unfamiliar with the east area. my granny boarded the cab and passed me a piece of paper, which has the address and contact numbers written on it. i read the address to the uncle and he didnt seem like he understand. so my granny said its somewhere near whitesands. while he drove, i realised he went the long way but i just kept quiet cos we didnt tell him any specific route.

the next thing i knew, we were at the junction of whitesands so i informed him that we werent going to whitesands. i made it clear that its elias road and its a private housing. then, he brought us to pasir ris st 52 and he insisted that it is there. i got frustrated so i asked if he had a street directory. he said yes and he reached for the seat beside him and passed me the book. i found the place and i pointed it out to him. he continued to make a few more rounds. at this point, my granny was also getting a lil impatient so she asked him to let us alight somewhere and we'll get another cab cos its pointless, we werent getting anywhere. he ignored my granny and he said it might be inside here and he made a turn into a hdb carpark area. my granny emphasized that we are looking for a private housing and it cant be in there cos its all hdb housings. reluctantly, he let us alight in front of some cc and he charged us $10 for the journey, the meter showed $11+. im sure it would have cost less than $7 to reach our destination but it wasnt about the money now. i flagged for the next cab and i asked the chinese uncle if he knew the way. he wasnt sure so we didnt take it. then the next cab came along, an indian uncle, i asked him the same question and he nodded his head. he made a right turn at the junction ahead, drove a very short distance and we were there. like finally. $2.50. imagine how many rounds the previous uncle had brought us.

i saw so many old people and a number of them happened to be distant relatives. dont what "gugu", "biaogu" and some other weird names. i just call auntie and uncle. most of them were fine with it, except this old granny. she say cannot call auntie, must call dont know what zhor. my granny then helped me. the house was bigger than i thought. theres 3 storeys. the top storey is a open garden. the second storey are where all the bedrooms are, 6 bedrooms in total and they are all huge. theres a room, a couple of steps up the living area, i would say its like a entertainment room. in the room, theres a karaoke system with a total of 4000 or 5000 songs. and beside it was a pool table. cool right? they also have a room for fitness, computers and studying. the kitchen is amazing. its like those kitchen you see in western films. huge. i liked the table in the middle of the kitchen. lastly, in the yard, they have a jacuzzi and swimming pool. super duper cool. if i have a big family, i would wish to stay in such an amazing house. but if theres too little people in the family, then i wouldnt cos it wouldnt be cozy.

my granny said we will staying for like an hour or two. but four hours later, i was still in the entertainment room, playing my psp, with music blasting in my ears. so freaking bored, i nearly burst out in tears. i was so relieved when my granny said we could go. we were at the gate when the lady house owner stopped us to have cheng tng. 20mins later, we were finally out. but i didnt get home until 20 - 25mins later cos the auntie who offered to drive us home drove at an average speed of 40km/hr. i had to rush back cos i wanted to have dinner with the bf, before he went to work. i rode at 100km/hr and we had to rush through our dinner. so sad.. cannot spend more time together on a sunday.

i got home and was playing psp, when i was disturbed by some insects. it was on my leg and because of it, i missed a ball (tennis match). later, i found 2 more on the walls and i murdered them. they looked like spiders, same size as a spider with 6 legs and 2 feelers. their body is black and their blood is light blue. i started to freaked out when i found 2 more of the same species. even after the room was vacuumed, curtains, bedsheets were changed, i still felt uneasy, i slept with the lights on. somehow, i woke up at 5am and found 1 of them on my hand. again, i freaked out and i murdered it.

in the morning, i woke up to prepare for work and before i went out, i noticed 1 more on the pillow. i capture it and placed it in a plastic bag so i can show the bf.

a week of fun, celebrations and birthdays
havent really had time to blog, due to the lack of internet connection.. oh well, some of my evening activities..

monday evening, the bf and i went to vivocity republic foodcourt for dinner. i was craving for the lotus soup, grace got me hooked on that. anyway, its really very good. i bought the soup for like $4.80 with the rice. then the bf came along with a plate of mixed vegetable rice which looks pretty pathetic, given the serving and he paid $5 for that. i saw like 4 pcs of small sotong rings, a bunch of vegetables, and a more decent amount of meat. i decided to be nice and get him some nasi lemak, cos i wanted to get the lady fingers. i picked a chicken drum stick, ikan bilis and lady fingers. make a guess, how much was it?

i paid $6.70 for a plate of nasi lemak can? and the portion was just as pathetic. we decided that we could have better food at a more atas place for the amount we paid la. its just crazy. food court prices are becoming more like fast food, or even some restaurants' prices. prices are going up everywhere but our pay still remains. :(

tuesday evening, i met up with angela at nydc. we intended to shop for her bf's birthday pressie but her "lao po", twelve came late. by the time we were done with our food, the shops were all closing. but i enjoyed catching up with her. the one who i can complain to endlessly and she'll just listen.

wednesday night, i had a girls' night out with reys, eunice and eileen. we went to dempsey hut for some drinks. its always entertaining hanging out with these girls. eil and reys were telling us about this movie, hostel. its a lil interesting to hear out the story but i think it would be way too disgusting and gross to watch it.

thursday, 4 october, my aunt's birthday!! the bf came to pick me from work. we went to eastpoint to get a cake and some flowers to surprise my aunt. i bet she thought i forgot her birthday cos i didnt msg her happy birthday. seeing her happy makes me feel good. whats money when you can make someone's day.

friday, the bf and i went over to savannah for dinner. my aunt invited a couple of her friends over to celebrate her belated bday. and lucky us had lotsa good food. later, we went to downtown east. angela's bf, jeff invited us to his birthday party. yes! a day of birthdays, celebration and parties.

saturday, qin's birthday celebration! keong and i met lyd, dan, bert, stella, eugene, grace and cp at spinelli. after discussing the plans, we went on separate ways. grace, cp, keong and i made our way to the memorial park, where we met stella to decorate the place.

after the celebration, grace, cp, keong and i head to somewhere near raffles hotel to play pool. the pool salon charges $11+/hr. madness. but i have to admit the equipments are very well-maintain. they polish each and every ball and the colours of the ball are so pretty, esp. the pink ones. i kept asking grace to hit the pink ball. haha.

happy birthday granny!
friday morning, i had stomach flu attack again. i was just telling myself that i dont want to take any more mc, so i still woke up to bath and prepare. but the pain got worse just before i went out, so i still took mc anyway. feeling quite bad about it. i must do something to strengthen my stomach. the doctor recommended lacto something pills. i slept till 12pm before i went to the doctor at 2ish. then, i went to my mum's place and spent my day playing games.

saturday, a day of fun-filled activities. grace, cp, keong, javvy, lyd, qin and i met up at savannah. we started the day off with tennis. the sun was simply blazing hot. after tennis, we went swimming, the best thing to do on a sunny day. at the end of it all, we pampered ourselves with kfc and pizza.

keong went off to work, while i head to grace's place for the night. i was looking forward to seeing her newly renovated room. like the green walls and most importantly, the coziness. =D

sunday evening, my entire family went out for my granny's birthday dinner at century square, sakae teppanyaki. i chose a seafood set while keong got the chicken set. the price is around $18.80 or more, cant really remember. theres a combination for every set, like the chicken set, other than chicken, vegetable and miso soup, theres also foei gras, egg in an onion ring, clams if im not wrong. my aunt had our white rice upgraded to garlic rice, which includes lots of the main ingredient, garlic, bits of scrambled egg and spices. im not a very garlic person so the whole garlic rice and the dishes, also cooked with lotsa garlic, was abit over for me. but overall, its pretty ok.

the weekend's over and its back to work again..

happy children's day!
