sorry..

i have been ranting too much.. ranting about random stuff, which i usually forget the next day. so dont bother asking me. sometimes i feel bad, like im a hypocrite. not that i speak bad of anyone behind their backs. probably the excessive ranting just makes me feel that way. i neglected my friends. i haven't been showing much care and concern when they are constantly showering me with care. i should just stop ranting so much and spend my time doing things that are more meaningful. sorry if i have been an irritant lately. but i still love my fave peeps! quote my bestie's line - ni zhi dao ni shi zui hao de ma *hugs*

dairy free

after a day of rest at home, it was back to work. i have tons of work waiting for me to complete. cant afford to take so many days mc if im thinking of getting my confirmation.

i have been avoiding all food with diary content and its seriously not easy. no macs breakfast, bread, eggs, chocolate, ice cream, not even pocky.

friday morning, my mum, keong and i send my brother off for his enlistment at tekong. he was supposed to leave for the shuttle bus at pasir ris between 9 to 9.30am, but he wasnt dressed proper so they made him get another pair of jeans. at 9+am, where on earth can he buy a pair of jeans? he went home to change while we had macs breakfast. all i had was hashbrown and a lil apple pie, ate the filling and left half the crust.

we took the 10am bus, together with his good friend, mum and gf. while the enlistees went for their briefing, we were brought around for a tour. we went to the medical centre, the bunks, the coy rest room. then, we were brought to the auditorium, where a video was played. after a boring speech, the enlistees took the oath. finally, we had some time with my brother over lunch.

it was almost 3pm when we arrived back at pasir ris. i took the train to work and got to the office at 3.30pm, 2.5 hours late. for that, i had to work till late night.

saturday morning, my mum, keong and i went to pay my dad a visit, his 13th year death anniversary. after we pay our offerings, we went home and had lunch.

keong guided me to raffles city shopping centre car park before he went to work. many hours later, i wasnt even half done. the sky was getting dark so i decided to continue the next day. with keong's help, i managed to find my way home. my first time travelling long distance alone (the furthest i went alone was tampines).

i was travelling on the left lane on ECP when i felt something hit my shoulder. for fear that the bike will wobble, i didnt turn to look immediately, it might be a stone i thought. when i was more stable, i turned to look and i saw this brown oval bug on my jacket. i freaked out. then i muster my courage and swept the bug away with my hand. immediately, it send shivers down my spine. i felt so disgusted, i kept rubbing my hand against my pants. at 9pm, i arrived at simei safely. i went to get supper for my aunt before making my way home.

a terrible day at the hospital

i went to work earlier cos i still had some tough questions for my japanese homework. i was hoping i wouldnt wake up late today, so i wouldnt have excuse to ride to work. im still not confident enough to maneuver through the rush hour traffic.

for lunch, we (jen, jordan, willy, terence and myself) went to miss clarity cafe. all of except jordan had crispy chicken with black pepper sauce. for 8.80, the meal comes with soup/salad, drink, main course and dessert. i had salad, barley and their dessert for the day, mango sorbet.

after lunch, we were all very full. i felt bloated and a lil uneasy. the uneasiness persisted for another 2 hours. i thought the food might be too oily or my stomach couldnt digest the food, so i took some earl grey tea. i burped lotsa wind out, felt a lil better for a couple of mins. then the mild pain worsen. i was feeling so much pain, i popped 2 antacyds 15mins after drinking the tea. the pain only got worse.

i called keong at 5+pm to tell him i was feeling terrible and im going to see the doctor. at 6+pm, my colleague, kelvin offered to send me to the doctor. keong was already at the clinic waiting for me when i got there. kelvin came to wait at the clinic too cos he was afraid i need to go to the hospital. indeed, the doctor refered me to the hospital. keong suggested TTSH.

30mins later, i was TTSH. keong got me registered. throughout, the pain got a lil better and i was complaining the clinic doctor was just wasting my money. after waiting for almost 2 hours, the doctor examined me and i was told that i need to stay in the hospital for observation, for fear that it might be acute appendicitis. damn! that wasnt it. i even had to be put on drip. how sickening. then, the nurse pushed me to the waiting area, where lotsa other patients were lying in bed waiting for wards. how i hate being pushed around, when i can still walk and especially after the jab and drip. i was feeling drowsy and yet i couldnt sleep, cos i was afraid keong wouldnt find his way to where i was (and my hp was with him).

15mins after keong came, i heard the nurse said they have a ward for me. then, i was pushed around, in that half-conscious state, up to my ward. i was about to fell asleep when the doctor came. then 5mins later, the senior doctor came. finally, i could sleep. keong stayed at the ward throughout, to keep me company.

the next morning, the doctor came. then 5mins later, the senior doctor (different snr doc from last night) came. he said they would keep me for observation and come by in the afternoon to see how i was feeling. if it was acute appendicitis, the pain will get worse. if the pain gets better, i would be able to discharge in the afternoon. i said "ok" in a very cheery tone and one of the female doctor replied "you look happy". of cos i am! who likes to stay in the hospital i thought. throughout, i just slept, woke up, watched tv, felt drowsy and went back to sleep and the cycle goes on and on.

afternoon finally came and the doctor came to see me at 2+pm. he said it shouldnt be acute appendicitis cos my stomach is soft. but the senior doctor will come by in awhile to give his diagnosis. grace came to visit me after her work. we waited and waited and waited. at 3+pm, the nurse said the doctor is coming in an hour. 2 hours past, keong went to ask the nurse again and she said the doctor is making his rounds. i waited for another one hour before the senior doctor came to my bed. the first thing he said "you cant wait to go home?" then he pressed my tummy and said the sentence i've been waiting for "you can be discharged (hurray!!!) but there might still be a 30% chance its acute appendicitis. if you vomit, get diahhroea or feverish and the pain get worse, you must come back. if not it should be intestine infection or pelvic infection."

i was so hungry, grace and i went to the food court to get some food, while waiting for keong to settle the documents. i was given 10 days mc. can you believe it??!! 10 days!! the doctor diagnosis: gastroenteritis.

im so glad to be out of the hospital. i never like hospitals, injections and medications. who likes them anyway. its good to be pain-free and healthy. im determine to lead a healthy lifestyle, with proper meals and plenty of exercise, water, fruits and vegetables. never take health for granted. cheers to good health!

birthday dinner treat by kelvin

there was so much food at home cos my uncle's relatives came by; prawn mee, soon kueh, sandwich, glutinous rice, nasi lemak..

i took a nap in the afternoon, woke up at 5pm, took a shower. kelvin came to pick me for dinner, my birthday treat, at hong kong cafe. the hor fun, carrot cake and squid was yummy. next time, must ask keong to go. =) i didnt manage to have my strawberry fantasy though. =( the waitress didnt even bother to tell me that they ran out of strawberries. i want my strawberry fantasy!!!

late night movie

saturday evening, keong came to my place to bring me to sengkang to meet up with a friend for a short while. we got lost somewhere in sengkang so he called up his friend to ask for directions. keong had just turned right, at a one-way left turn lane, and stopped at the chevron marking at the centre divider, when a TP stopped right in front of him. i hesitated before turning right to join him. we were given a warning to be more cautious before we were allowed to go. phew!

after the short meetup, we headed to orchard. reys and bertram came 10 mins later. we bought tickets for 200 pounds at 12.30pm. then, we went to our usual hangout at NYDC.

at 2.30am, the show ended and i was surprisingly still very much awake. we were joking earlier on that if i was tired, i would leave the bike at the carpark and take a cab home. the show was nicer than i thought. lotsa funny scenes. the storyline is about this korean girl, who is talented but fat and ugly. she sang backstage for the "singer", emily, who is not talented but pretty and sexy. on one occasion, she was criticised and she felt so depressed, she tried to commit suicide, which wasnt successful. so she decided to go for plastic surgery from head to toe. after a year of recovery, she looked like shes a natural beauty. she went for the audition to sing for emily and she got herself a contract, under her new name "Jenny". the director, whom shes in love with, soon found out about her real identity and she admitted herself to all her fans at her first concert. everyone forgave her and she became more popular than ever, with her real identity, KANG Hanna. i like happy endings!! =D

once again, keong guided me home before he made his way home. thank you for the patience!!!

my ride

i just had my first experience on my new ride, LX 150. it wasnt very fantastic. =/ i guess i need time to get used to it. it's so much easier riding on YBR 125, obviously so bcos i have rode on that particular bike model for almost a year.

im still not prepared to ride to work, not when im still so unfamiliar with the bike and with the constant wobbling. it aint that easy riding an auto bike, esp when travelling on slow speed. maybe im too used to riding manual bike. i tried to pillion keong and we nearly mount the curb. it was so scary. he must be too heavy for me to pillion at this very moment. =x oops!

but i have to say its simply irresistably gorgeous and adorable, with the round side mirrors. its supposed to come with a top box but due to some mishandling, i have to wait another month. but im happy cos its black and shiny! =) i want to ride to work!!!

THE 22nd

i had a great celebration.
presentees: KEONG, CHOONS, GRACE, LYD, REYS, HAZE, RACHEL,BERT, JAVVY, PEI WEN, NIC, EIL & BF, MEI JUAN & BF, EML & HER 2 BEST FRIENDS (ANNABELLE & ADELINE), RONALD & HIS 4 FRIENDS (TING TING, ALAM & 2 OTHERS).

keong came by in the morning, we borrowed my bro's skeleton kawasaki. we went to collect the otah from defu lane, rushed home to put it in the fridge. then, we went to collect the satay. right after, we took a cab to TM to meet up with choons.

the moment we got home from supermarketing, choons started preparing his special concoction while keong and i started on the kebab. we ran out of bacon so choons went to get them. keong also left to start the fire.

the first persons to come were grace and lyd. i met them at the bbq pit. by then which, bert and peiz has alrady arrived. keong collected the cake, together with lyd and nic. we were about to start the cake ceremony at around 9pm, when i was asked to bring food home with my cousin. when they were done preparing, i walked to the bbq pit. i was welcomed by grace near the bbq area. she blindfolded me and brought me to the playground, where i was presented with a beautiful surprise. tealight candles forming up "happy b'day bec", with keong holding on to the cake standing behind the candles. im not very good at expressing but im truly touched. im delighted cos i have the company of the most wonderful people in my life and everything that i wanted.

updates

the past week hasnt been too good a week for me.. but im glad its over. have been pretty busy at work, hardly had time to surf the net.

i had my first jap lesson on monday. the teacher is a japanese lady, so we had a lil prob trying to catch what she was saying. but overall, we learnt alot in one lesson. overloaded but satisfied! =)

i got into a lil trouble at work lately. but at least, its settled for now. or rather i hope it is. shall not mention. i promise not to let myself get into that situation ever again. ignorance is bliss.

oh.. did i mention my lappy is down? im prompt with a message saying that the ctrl key is being hold down. so basically, i cant type a single shit. i tried knocking and hitting on it but it doesnt work. =( too broke to send for repairs so that will have to wait till my next pay.

5 more days to my 22nd. im so NOT looking forward to it. everyone says the years past by in a flash after 21. i cant imagine myself in the mid twenties before i even realised it. it seems scary.

clubbing at MOS

saturday late morning, i went to keong's place with macs breakfast. then, we went vivo city to watch TMNT, the show he wanted to catch the moment he saw the ad. it was pretty funny, a lil similar to the incredibles i thought. i was pretty surprised with the no. of people watching the show, the cinema was almost full.

after the movie, we window-shopped around the stores on the second level. then, we had dinner at shin kushiya cos keong wanted to eat the grilled mushrooms.

we took a train together and he alighted at cityhall. the moment i got home, i took a quick shower and quickly prepared.

i met lydia, bert and elliot at cityhall. we waited for grace to end work before heading down to MOS. had a great time, with the exception of this guy who was initially standing behind grace on the dance floor. he was dancing so vigorously, swinging his arms around like nobody biz, oblivious to the people standing around him. so, i switched places with grace. after some time, he decided that i was pushing him on purpose, when i obviously wasnt. he asked his girl to switch places with him. i remember this girl, looking like an ah-lian, dressed in white, dancing vigorously, deliberately pushing with her back and lifting her heels, stomping the ground, as if trying to step on me. i cant help to despise the guy for being childish.

eml came to join us at around 1am, after her friends all left. at around 2.20am, we decided that we were rather tired and we ended up taking pictures in the toilet. after a drink, we collected our bags and left for home.

sunday morning, i managed to wake up in time to prepare and meet grace for 12.30pm mass. after the mass, we walked to the train station. i bought lunch for myself, my aunt and uncle.

the rest of my day was spent watching television, napping and packing my wardrobe.
