family's in trouble
i took a short nap after the midnight mahjong session. woke up to see nothing done, i started packing. angela, mei de, keong and i spent less than an hour to pack up. after the packing, we sat in the room, started talking and laughing till it was time to check out.keong followed my cab to savannah and mei de followed angela's cab to my mum's place. after keong and i moved all the stuff, we went to look for angela and mei de. they had just moved the stuff to my mum's place. keong had to rush to the hospital cos his friend, jeremy was going for an operation. mei de was really nice to make an extra trip to help me carry keong's backpack and pressies to my mum's place.i accompanied angela while she waited for jeff. felt bad cos she was having a test that day. she had only two and a half hours to change, head to school and probably do some last minute studying. keong and i really appreciate angela and meide's help. they were two of the earliest to come and the latest to go. thanks alot! we owe you guys a treat~!while waiting for keong at home, i was really bored. walked up and down the house. decided to watch television but there was nothing that i could watch. i was glancing around the room, spotted the saturday's newspaper. i thought i might as well make use of this period of time to do something productive. i flipped through the newspaper, found the job section. but i realised i didnt have highlighter in the room.i went to look through the paper bag that we brought back from the chalet, took the highlighter, i was about to go back to the room when my mum's friend stopped me. she told me something i have never ever expected that would happen to my family. still controlling my emotions, i called my aunt after i called keong and told him what happen. my aunt's mobile had no reception so i left her a message.i told her what happened. afterwhich, she told me yet another news.the news that came one after another was a double blow. it hit me so so hard, i was overwhelmed, i totally broke down. but im really glad i had keong by my side. my aunt was so worried when she heard me over the phone, she rushed over.i spent my afternoon with my aunt, mum, keong and 2 of my mum's friend in the living room. we understand and analysed what has happened, tried to work something out. my aunt made a few calls, there was nothing we could do but to wait.meanwhile, keong and i took a nap. we were simply exhausted from the chalet.woke up in the evening, showered and went over my granny's place for dinn. spent the rest of the evening watching television, taking a break from what has happened.to keong: im really sorry that because of me, your birthday turned out to be a really bad day. i promise i will make it up to you when everything gets better. thanks for standing by me, giving me support, encouraging me, caring for me and my family. i'll never know what to do without you. lastly, for just awhile, lets put aside all the unhappiness... HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY~!!!to reys and ying xue: im really sorry i cannot make it tomorrow. i know its a very important and significant day for ying xue cos its her 21st birthday. i dont blame you if you are angry but i really have to be there for my family cos its really serious. i promise i will go clubbing with you gals soon.
