shopping for the chalet
keong and i bought bee hoon for breakfast. after breakfast, we went to sheng siong as planned. the sheng siong in bedok is so damn cramped. we bought whatever we had to, which totalled up to 50+.we went straight home cos keong was afraid the hot dog and crab meat would spoil. we put all the frozen food in the fridge and headed to ntuc. bought the rest of the stuff and went home.i wasnt feeling too good, had an ulcer in my throat. keong made me go to the doctor. had to go to the 24 hour clinic cos all the other clinics were closed. the doctor was really classic. he merely asked me whats wrong and he prescribed the medicine without giving me a thorough check. i was in there for like 2 minutes and the freaking fee was 40 bucks.keong decided that he would make me dinner since im unwell. we went to the only supermarket, the kind you cant even remember the name. bought all the ingredients. we were shocked when the bill totalled up to 40+.we walked to the place where i'll always get a cab from. standing some distance behind us was a young couple, the guy was definitely a beng. knowing that they were waiting for a cab, we took a few steps backwards, some sort of signalling that we know that they are waiting for a cab and we would wait till they get a cab.somehow, the impatient beng seems to think that its easier to get a cab if he walked some distance in front of us, probably for the shade. i dont know. i must say it hadnt been their day. a couple of vacant cabs didnt stop for them. then again, probably cos they was standing at a bend so the cabs couldnt see them. and by the time the cabs see them, its too late to stop. there was a citycab who drove past them when the beng flagged and stopped for some others in front. keong and i felt pretty sad for the girl cos it seems like the guy doesnt really bother about her.anyway, a cab happened to stop right infront of us. i had the intention to give up the cab to the couple but they were standing a distance away and they didnt even realised. the couple was still waiting for a cab when we happily head home.i learnt something new. the more impatient you are, the worse the situation would be.we started preparing dinner. the end result was chicken stew, stir-fried vegetable with chicken, mushroom and carrot, and chicken soup with tofu, chicken ball, fishball, mushroom and carrot. sumptous dinner~! it ought to be cos we paid like 40+.after dinner, we watched television. later, keong sent me home.
