pardon me for the long entry..

fri. keong and i made a trip to NTUC to get some stuff for the chalet before heading home for dinner.

sat. keong came to pick me up at 8.50am. i got to shaw centre at 9.10am, went upstairs and realised that the interview starts at only 9.30am. (there were only 3 persons [2 guys, 1 gal] waiting for the interview in the room) i decided to go for breakfast. while waiting for our food at the mac donald's counter, i received a call from adecco saying that they were starting the interview earlier. great i thought! i spent 6 mins eating 2 waffles, 1 chicken sausage and took a few sips of lemon tea.

i went back to the room and there were 6 persons [2 guys, 4 gals; the 3 gals who arrived before me are friends]. due to some reasons, they changed the group interview to individual interview. and bcos i was technically the last to arrived, i had to wait. so much for gobbling my food. -_-

i waited from 9.35am to around 10.10am while the 3 friends chatted away. the interviewers were 2 ladies. the interview went pretty well. i was quite satisfied with my answers though i thought i could do better.

right after the interview, keong and i went home to get the utensils and chocolate for our chocolate crown and key that apparently, no shop could make. keong went to so many shops selling bakery stuff yet no shop had a crown mould. and due to time constraint, no shop could make a chocolate crown and key for us. thanks to the cake shop for the trouble cos they actually said they could make it but later, said they didnt have the mould. after getting whatever we need to, we went to my mum's place for the "chocolate operation".

part 1, the chocolate key.. we placed 1/2 the white chocolate into a square tin, then we put the tin into a pot of boiling water. our first attempt failed because the water leaked into the tin. second attempt, keong used a metal bowl instead of the tin and managed to melt the chocolate. we tried to draw chocolate keys on a piece of alumimium cardboard and succeeded!
part 2, the chocolate crown.. i used the pot of hot water to warm up the knife before cutting the chocolate. because the chocolate was too thick, i had to do it slowly. keong offered to cut and accidentally broke the crown. while he went out to get another bar of white chocolate, i continue to cut out the shape of the crown. using the leftover chocolate, i cut 3 small round chocolate to place at the pointed top, then we melted the rest and mended the crown. tadah~! finally done! pretty successful.

we went back to my place and helped my aunt with the bacon and chicken kebab. when we were done with the kebab, my aunt suggested renting a car. i managed to find a couple of car leasing companies and keong called them up. after so many calls, we finally got one company which could provide us with a car (kia spectra) for collection in an hour. at this time, reys, ying xue and xin yang came to help us bring the stuff to the chalet. we followed them to the chalet to get the key before collecting the car. when we got there, we were told that the kia spectra had been drove away and they only had nissan sunny. i was pretty nervous cos i havent drove ever since i got my license. i managed to drive back to my place safely with keong's help, my instructor for the 2 days.

i was so familiar with the route after the 2nd trip. in all, i made 3 trips to drive all my family members to the chalet. it was 8+ by the time i got there and everyone was already there. feel so bad. thanks so much to Reyers and Ying Xue for helping me carry the stuff and also for the wonderful decorations!!!

around midnight, i drove all my family members back home. i was back at the chalet at only 1am. reys and ying xue was falling asleep from the long wait. finally, it was mahjong time! we played 16 rounds before we slept.

sun. keong and i woke up at 9+. we packed the room a lil and showered before making a trip to visit beckeon. we were pretty worried about beckeon's safety, felt relieved to see him safe and sound. we went back to the chalet and bought brunch for everyone. after brunch, reys suggested playing mahjong. we played 16 rounds. by the time we finished, it was 6+. dinner time~! we proceeded downstairs to barbeque. angela came some time after reys and ying xue left.

later in the night, we went for a ride. angela suggested going shisha at arab street. we made like 4 - 5 rounds before getting to the place. i was so tired, i fell asleep after awhile. keong woke me up at 2.30am to go back to the chalet.

mon. we woke up at 9am, packed the stuff, showered and checked out. we sent angela home before going to my place. later, we went for a quick lunch at tampines mall. as soon as we were done with lunch, we went home to pick up my aunt. together, we fetched marcus from school and had lunch at takashimaya's imperial restaurant. my aunt wanted to get beancurd from geylang. i have to say the journey to geylang was hell. impatient drivers are just everywhere. although i was horned like twice but at least i managed to drive through the stretch of road unscathed.

after sending my aunt and marcus home, we rested for awhile. at 5pm, we sent my aunt to the interchange before returning the car. felt so good~! if given a choice, i'd rather be a passenger.
