meet up with cathy and isabelle
keong just went home so here I am blogging.
keong woke me up this morning. after breakfast, he waited for me while I shower. and cos of that, i made him miss the bus. we took a cab together, he dropped off at simei while I went to tampines mall. met up with cathy and isabelle outside body shop.
after much discussion, we had sushi for lunch. the nabeyaki udon was really bad, the worst i ever eaten. the udon was so soft, it breaks when i hold the chopsticks a lil harder. it was so bad, i didn’t even eat half the bowl. cathy and isabelle were joking about how picky am i when it comes to food. before we left, they gave me an “emily the strange” sling bag. so sweet of them!
after lunch, i had to rush off to pack lunch for my uncle. i had like 10 mins to reach the foodcourt, buy his lunch and walk over to the shuttle bus’ waiting area (tampines). quite impossible huh? when I got to the foodcourt, i realized they didn’t have what my uncle want. so i thought i could take the shuttle bus to simei, buy his lunch and wait for the next shuttle bus. with 5 mins left, i was still squeezing my way through the crowd to the ground floor. fortunately, the bus just arrived when I got there.
i met up with keong and marcus at the shuttle bus’ waiting bay (simei).
later, keong and i went to red man to get baking utensils and ingredients. we headed to melville to begin our cake making. we made 3 cakes with 3 different recipes. the first one tasted good but was too hard. the second one tasted bad and was also hard. the last one tasted fine but was too soft.
by the time we left for dinner, it was almost 9pm. i decided to bring keong to bark café. we had potato wedges and norwegian salmon steak.
keong: i had a great time whisking, folding and baking. thank you! I guess you’re the only one who is willing to do this with me. sorry to make you go round looking for my handphone and make you feel embarrassed cos the shop assistant had to help you look for it. *muacks*
