1. keong
2. the next week, a biker passed away
3. around the same time, lian he zao bao reported that a van smashed into the barricade
4. another week later, a taxi-driver told keong there was yet another accident
5. my friend's friend fracture his leg
6. vincent mentioned in his blog that he met with an accident
friends who are driving or riding, please drive and ride with extra caution. it freaks me out!

last weekend working
friday evening, i met up with keong at tampines to search for apron. we went to isetan and metro but we didnt manage to get one. is it so difficult to get an apron? we decided to try phoon huat since they are selling all the baking stuff. we got there around 9pm and they were closed. luckily, we managed to get it at NTUC. then, we had dinner at sakae sushi.
saturday morning, keong came to pick me up for the tiramisu workshop. we got there 10 mins late so we were a lil lag behind. but soon, we managed to catch what mrs fong was teaching. at the end of the workshop, both of us made a tiramisu wonderland cake and a christmas log cake each. =D
i had to wake up so early on sunday morning. *sleepy* i took a cab and head to ang mo kio. my promoters were late and i had to do their work. >_<
after work, i met keong. had chicken stew from keong for late lunch before we took a cab back together.

tuesday
i met up with reys at our usual after work hang out place - cartel.
we left at 9.30pm. in the train, i was totally living in my own world. i was so engrossed in the story book i was reading.
it was 3am when i finally put the book down. hazelnut latte - i thought it looks pretty =)
wednesday
i was so tired plus i was having cramps so i went to the doctor. took an mc.
thursday
i was happily watching summer beach - new korea show my aunt bought when i was interrupted. i took a bathe and went out for my lesson in the evening.
revision was bad. as compared to the last two time, i was less confident or rather i wasnt the least confident. i couldnt find a bike that i was comfortable with. and i nearly fell at emergency brake course, phobia. i thought to myself, i'll fail my lesson 5 again - third attempt.
out of the 9 students, only 3 passed...
.

.
.

.
my first attempt - 20 points with no immediate failure
my second attempt - 32 points with 1 immediate failure =(
third attempt - 10 points! i passed!!!

my life is all about lessons and work..
i went to cdc for my second attempt of lesson 5 - circuit evaluation. didnt do too well, all thanks to the rain. the engine of the bike, no.11 i was riding, died. so i got an immediate failure for crank course. i was damn disappointed. but something worth to be happy about; i managed to pillion a girl through figure 8 and crank course. when the instructor gave us our results, he told me he didnt add up my points, i joked "is it because there are too many points?" (shall upload my results slip tomorrow)right after, i walked to the bus stop and took a train to clementi. i took a cab from there to king albert park.back at the office, i prepared the stuff for the activities thats happening day after. saturday
today marks the day i took the most no. of cabs in a single day.
1) my place to compass point
2) compass point to great world city
3) great world city to office
4) office to great world city
5) great world city to king albert park
6) king albert park to office
7) office to compass point
8) compass point to choa chu kang
i met up with keong after work for dinner. we had mushroom soup, chicken chop with mash potato and vegetables for dinner. *drools*
sunday
i took a cab to swissotel. there was a senior citizen event with the minister at stanford ballroom. i was glad that rachel was pleased with the activity.
i only managed to leave the place like 2+pm. i met up with keong at taka. we had lunch at dragon phoenix restaurant - silver fish, chee cheong fun, sharks fin dumpling soup and bo luo bao (forgot to take picture). yums! thereafter, we took a cab to tampines cos he wanted to cut his hair. at the salon, he kept pyscho-ing me to dye my hair and so i did. i chose light copper, colour code 7.3. the auntie said it will take approximately an hour. she spent 5 mins blending the colour, more than 30 mins applying the dye, 35 mins for the hair to absorb the dye, 5 mins to massage, 10 mins to even out the colour, 10 mins to wash and 5 mins to blow. all in all, its like 2hours. she started at like 6.15pm. thanks to the auntie, keong didnt had time for dinner. i was damn pissed!!! i was worried that he might be late. (hello auntie.. we are talking about military here) we left the salon at like 8.15pm and he actually had to go home at 8pm. and worse of all, my hair turned out like shit, super uneven. and she complained to keong that i was picky and adviced him to "OPEN HIS EYES", reasons being
- i was honest enough to tell her her prices are ex ($60 for dye, $20 for hair cut; no free hair cut or trimming if you dye, 2 separate costs. i would rather pay $80 at juz4hair.)
- i complained that its painful when she wash my hair (cos she scratched very hard)
- i asked if i can dont comb my hair (cos i have sensitive scalp so i dont want to use a comb that so many had used)
- i requested to blow my hair myself (cos we were really running out of time thanks to the aunt's lie or miscalculation of time)
- i swayed my head when she was blowing my hair (cos the bloody hair dryer was burning my scalp)
at my place, he spent 10mins rushing through dinner before he ran off to grab a cab home. poor keong.

unusual wednesday
i received an email this morning that the vacancies for christmas tiramisu cake workshop is full, so they are postponing it to next fri. angela cant make it and im reconsidering.i was late for work this morning, 9.12am. i've exceed the max no. of mins that i can be late for a month. 143mins, exceeded by 23mins. i just heard from my colleagues that for the first exceeding hour, 20 bucks will be deducted. subsequently, 50 bucks for 2 hours and 100 bucks for 3 hours. too much right?yesterday, i took leave. i took the 7.40am bus to the interchange and took a cab from there. i arrived outside the e-trial test classroom at 8.10am, thought i was 5 mins late. but it actually starts at 9.15am. within the 2 hours, i managed to do 14 sets. then, i went for my revision circuit. i concentrated mostly on figure 8. a lil more confident but i hope i'll do fine on friday. at 12pm, i went home and had lunch before heading down to CDC again for my last e-trial before RTT. i was surprised when i managed to do 12 sets within 45mins. RTT started at 6.45pm and i finished the questions in less than 5mins and i spent another 7mins to check. i was repeating in my mind "please, let me pass" during the few seconds the result was loading. i was delighted when i saw "passed" appeared on my screen. =)unhappy bus ride incidentthereafter, i decided to walk to the bus stop since i still have time. i called angela and she said any bus except no. 8 goes to the train station. i) i took the first bus which came, no. 25. upon boarding the bus, i asked the driver if this bus goes to the train station. he reluctantly nodded (i wonder if he was even listening) while his eyes was concentrating on the commuters boarding the bus behind me, afraid that they didnt scan this card. ii) i was standing 3 seats away from the exit when this bulky man, talking on the phone, came charging towards the door. i managed to give him way while keeping my balance. just before the bus came to a stop, he scanned his card and wasnt successful. the next thing i knew, he was charging past me to the front door. my first instinct was to let go of the pole i was holding on to before he bumped into me, i quickly grabbed the pole behind, struggling to balance. -_-''' disgusted, i found a space at the other side, somewhere safer to stand at. iii) i w as looking out of the windows, trying to watch out for a train station. i noticed the train tracks from far away, i hesitated to get down. i thought probably the bus would turn in but it didnt, so i got down at the next stop and walk a long distance to the train station. i was cursing and swearing. i thought SBS is a bus service and its the minimum the driver could do to help but apparently, he cant be bothered. i always dislike taking buses and now, im totally disgusted. duh!i arrived 7.53pm at orchard. sarah and i decided to find a place for dinn, while waiting for that busy woman whois always late. we settled for pasta cafe. shortly later, ness and her friend came. we chatted over dinn and left the place at almost 10pm (cos they were closing). we went our separate ways; ness and her friend went off to zouk while sarah and i went home. had a great time catching up and gossiping! =p

obsessed with riding
interesting weekend with lots of happening. this is going to be a very long post. okie.. let's see..
friday
keong came to pick me up from my office. was supposed to meet up with angela and jeff back in the east at 7.30pm. keong left his house at 6.45pm and he only got to my office around an hour later. not exaggerating at all. the uncle said there was some jogging competition going on at shenton way and they closed the roads. i wonder who would organised a jogging competition on a FRIDAY EVENING!!! when everyone else is rushing home after work. not mentioning the traffic is already a killer every other evenings. so instead of going by ECP, he went by CTE. but even the CTE is affected. i swore under my breathe. dammit!
i was so extremely hungry by the time i arrived at tampines mall. keong and i went to ding tai fung for dinner and at the same time, we waited for angela and jeff. but later, they didnt want to join us so we met them only after dinner. we had so much - pork chop fried rice, chicken soup and dumplings.
we were sitting somewhere outside delifrance when angela suggested to find a proper place to sit down and chill. angela and i went to get hagen daz ice cream while the guys went to get seats. i was just telling angela that eml and i bought ice cream the other day at a very good discount cos alaric's friend works there. guess what? her friend is a manager and we got it free!! thanks angela!
such a coincidence that they are planning to go bangkok some time next year cos keong and i were just thinking about that. then, the good news! shes interested in the tiramisu baking workshop. yay! we were having a great time catching up when a disgusting brown insect came to disrupt. yes! a cockroach and a female cockroach which flies. nothing beats that!! we left immediately.
saturday
i dragged myself out of bed. its a saturday and im supposed to work only 5 days, why do i have to wake up so early?! anyhow, i took a cab to vivo city. the machine couldnt work. great! i rushed to the taxi-stand and took a cab to revenue house. i did the setup and got what i needed. vincent, my logistics guy sent me to vivo. it was 1.30+pm when i arrived back at vivo city. the machine still couldnt work. i was getting worried cos my lessons start at 2.35pm. i knew i couldnt leave so i took a cab to the office and lugged a machine to vivo city.it was 3pm and i decided that i will be too late for lesson. keong came down to have lunch together. we went to sushi tei and had chicken kastu don, yaki udon, salmon teriyaki and gyoza. we were extremely full. after lunch, we went back to take some pictures. i was supposed to meet up with peifen and a couple of my ex-classmates but my plan didnt go as plan. my plan was to 1)make sure the setup was fine 2)go for lesson 3)go home change 4)meet my ex-classmates in town. since the dinner plan was changed to clubbing and i dressed in polo tee, jeans and sneakers, i couldnt possibly go. i had no time to go home to change and i doubt my aunt allows.since i couldnt make it, keong and i decided to watch material girls. we caught the show at tampines mall. a very light-hearted show i say. kinda similar to shows like mean girls. i like light-hearted shows. it makes someone laugh and relax. P.S. lyd, if you happen to see this. im sorry i couldnt send you off. have a great holiday! take lots of care. will be missing you lots. cya in three weeks.
sunday
i wanted to cook instant noodle for my uncle, eml and myself when my aunt asked if we wanted mac's breakfast instead. who would reject mac's breakfast for instant noodle? =D at approximately 10.30am, my aunt called the delivery hotline. the call centre officer told my aunt to call back in 15 to 20mins cos their system is jammed due to large order.
after 15 mins or so, my aunt called the delivery hotline again. and guess what? she was told that they are not taking any orders for breakfast and the call centre officer kept repeating "due to large order.. due to large order.." my aunt didnt accept their reason (if there's a problem, they should solve it on their end instead of telling customers that they have a large order. if they cant, then why would they have a hotline) and she asked to speak to someone who can give an explanation. the call centre officer gave her a number. before she called the in-charge, my aunt said "cook instant noodle, no macs breakfast" so disappointing i thought.
my aunt explained the situation to the in-charge and we managed to place our order. yay! our breakfast only arrived at 11.50am, which leaves me with only 10 to 15 mins. i took a cab to CDC and got there at 12.45pm, right on the dot. the sun was so blazing hot, i was perspiring like a running tap. at the end of the 90 mins revision circuit, i was more confident than ever. i took a short break and had a can of chilled green tea before i reported for my lesson 5.
i was the first to start cos i had the smallest number tag. dammit! we were allowed to warm up for a round at the circuit before the evaluation. i shall cut it short. in general, everything went pretty fine. but i thought i got an immediate failure cos i forgot to wait for the signal at the plank. i wobbled at figure 8 while struggling to turn off and on the signal. i was supposed to check left and right only at 4 spots but i did 6 spots. after evaluation, we tried pillion-riding. i was paired with a girl and she pillion me through the slope, figure 8 and crank. it was my turn and i did the slope and past by the figure 8 and crank. i was just not confident enough and i didnt want to cause someone to get injured.
we got back our results. i was smiling and this guy asked if i passed. i didnt. but i got 20 points which is very good for a first-time female rider. muahahahaha! the passing mark is 10 points. next time i will.. =) i was in such good mood that i decided to walk all the way to the main road to catch a bus. my next revision will be on wed and evaluation on fri. my wed is going to be so hectic. 3 e-trial lessons, revision circuit and rtt but im getting nearer to my goal!!

my first revision circuit
im finally punctual for once, apart from the first week. i got to the office at 8.55am today. the first black stamp on my punch card since the stupid implementation of the punch card system. =)
i was in high spirits yesterday, so much that keong thought that i wasnt right.
but few hours later..
i was feeling kinda low. cos im so not ready for my lesson 5 evaluation. there are 6 circuit courses and im only confident in 3 - narrow plank, pylon slalom and slope. im still so weak in figure 8, crank course and emergency brake. =(
the coordination part for figure 8 is a challenge to me.
1. Enter circuit
2. Kick up to 2nd gear and cancel signal (in any order) before the first cone, and at the same time, fix the eyeline
3. Upon reaching the tree, turn left signal on and refix eyeline
4. Upon touching the white line, clutch in and kick to 1st gear
5. Stop before white line
i still have phobia for crank course.
but im determined to practise till i overcome the phobia.
lastly, the challenge for emergency brake would be maintaining the speed between 30 to 35km/hr. anything more than that will send me sliding across the road. but the bike that i was riding yesterday seems to have a lil problem. the orange light doesnt lit up when the speedometer shows 30km/hr.
in general, im still so wobbly. once, i lost balance when i was turning right. damn embarassing la! many times, my right leg nearly touch the ground. im just hoping for the best. i have 2 more revision circuits and then, the actual evaluation. *cross fingers*

shopping therapy
i had a bad saturday. i was woken up by the constant ringing of my mobile. later, i got nagged by my aunt. i was on my way for an interview when i received calls and messages saying that the bone scans were not operating smoothly. thats the last thing i want - to screw things up before i leave. i have tried my very best to make sure everything would go fine. i even messaged all my promoters the night before to make sure they know their working hours, exact location and the contact person. i just want to give my best before i leave.
after my interview, i went home to change before going to pasir ris. i managed to settle the problem with the machine. following, i took a cab to meet keong. together, we went to IMM. took quite a number of pictures as required.
then, keong and i went to vivo city. the place was freaking packed so keong had a lil difficulty trying to manvoeure through the crowd. some people are just so unsympathetic. whats their freaking problem? is it illegal for people on crutches to be on the streets? must people on crutches isolate themselves at home? if you answered yes for either question, then try staying at home for 3 months.
everywhere was so packed. there were queues at all the eating places. we finally decided on earle swensens cos i remembered the queue wasnt that long as compared to the japanese restaurants. we were standing in the queue when the manager (i think) came over to ask the number of pax. he offered keong a seat but keong politely rejected. then, he said he'll get a table for us. a couple of minutes later, he reappeared and ushered us to a table with great view. kind people like him are almost rare. thumbs up!!! the food and drink wasnt very nice. i thought the drink tasted like some cold porridge with sauce. but the ambience and the service was great.
after dinner, we went to the riverside. there was this huge flower tree, with lots of different flowers in different colours. we took a couple of pictures before going home.
the view outside the window
Earle Swensen's Menu
lychee + raspberry
starter / appetiser - US fries
chicken baked rice (not very nice, 2/5)

with blueberry topping and hot fudge,
topped with almonds, cherry and wafer)

sunday morning, i dragged myself out of bed. took a cab to CDC and got there at 9.05am. i thought i was late cos i didnt remember what time the e-trial test starts. i managed to do 4 papers in 45 minutes. the results: i failed all the 4 papers. haha. thats for not studying.
right after the e-trial test, i went for my lesson 4, second attempt. sleepy. one of the instructor was the same as the last lesson i took.
narrow plank
twice, i missed the plank totally. until the instructor corrected me, i didnt succeed once. i was so happy when i didnt fall off.
emergency brake
i finally managed to boost up enough courage to press on the front brake only after my front tyre reaches the white line.
first attempt: crossed the yellow line
second attempt: incorrect posture
third attempt: stepped on gear lever
forth attempt: incorrect posture
last attempt: correct posture but crossed the yellow line
which means i failed.
i went to park the bike, return the number tag, took my stuff from the locker and waited for the results. the instructor had placed everyone's pratical book 2 rows neatly on the table with the cover page flipped open, showing our pictures. after all 10 were present, he announced "all 10, everyone passed." all was delighted. i went to top up my account before booking for circuit revisions and lesson 5. next week's schedule is going to be tight. i have RTT and lesson 5 evaluation coming up which means i would have to go for more e-trial tests and revision circuits. im having 3 revision circuits before the actual evaluation on sunday. soon, i'll be on the road. hurray!
after lesson, i took a cab home. took a really quick shower before catching the shuttle bus to tampines together with eml, alaric, my aunt and uncle. eml, alaric and i had teppanyaki for lunch. then, we went to shop around. i was like on a shopping spree. i bought a skirt, 2 three-quarts, a cardigan, 4 tops, a pair of shoe, slippers, heels and a polo tee for keong - all for approximately 240. im overspending!!! but its okie..
im loving my new slippers

sick
havent been in the pink of health lately - flu, dry throat, stomache, gastric pain, bad headache. im having a pretty serious stomach flu which leads to a cold. doctor says its some viral infection. i have a noisy stomach. water does no help here. i need plenty of rest which i obviously dont.i went to the doctor in the morning and he gave me medicine for headache and stomach flu. he wanted to give me pills for my flu but i told him my flu had got better.thereafter, i went to meet up with keong. not longer later, i started sneezing. once, then twice.. the sneezing just got worse. i think i used up more than 4 packets of tissue. we went for a walk at lot 1. bought my body scrub from missha - lavender, for $15.90. almost half the price for the body scrub in body shop. then, we had chicken stew, dou miao and salmon teriyaki for dinner. i took some medication before dinner and it slightly better.after dinner, we watched yours, mine and ours. a lighthearted comedy show. =)

free from the evil lord
i have officially tendered my resignation. i thought my boss would ask me for a reason but he didnt, i figured that either i am so not up to his standard and hes just waiting for me to tender (so i can also be his scapegoat for all the mistakes) or hes too accustomed to people tendering their resignation, hes sick of asking for reason. and even if he tries to persuade someone to stay, they will most probably reject. whatever the case, i couldnt care less.at least i think i deserve better and someone will appreciate me, unlike him.actually, i kinda feel guilty that i screw things up, not on purpose though. just that i havent been too satisfied with his "working system" (working 7 days a week/ 17 hours a day is normal - without OT), i am not very willing to put in the extra effort and time to make sure the smooth operation. thus, the miscommunication. hmm.. *pondering* the most possible reason that he accepted my resignation without a single word is because, in case my client blames him, he'll push the blame to me. *tsk tsk*i am trying very hard to be indifferent, even though i still feel a lil lousy. cheer up! i deserve better! =)thanks grace and keong for all your support and encouragement!!!
