back to work.
friday, 29 dec
i was rushing like mad to finish my work so i could leave for my appointment at 6.30pm but i only managed to leave at 6.35pm. keong and i were like 45mins late for our appointment at vanilla. i waited three weeks and there was no way i was going to postpone it. luckily, they didnt chase us away. thereafter, we had dinner at mos.
saturday, 30 dec
i had a really hard time trying to open my eyes and drag myself out of bed. i woke up at 8am when my lesson starts at 8.30am. had to rush to prepare. got there 15 mins late and there was no instructor at the counter. i sat there and waited for like 5 mins before i walked over to the briefing area where all the other instructors were seated. i was told to knock on the glass window at the side reporting counter.
after my road revision, i went for a drink and toilet break. when i was back, the exercise has ended and everyone has already got their bikes. i tried to look out for no.32 or no.1 but i didnt see them. so i took no.8, which i previously used for my road. it was so powerless i decided to change one. i saw no.1 but i soon realised it was out of alignment. then i tried no.17 and it was just as bad. there was no more available bikes so i gave up and took a short break. when i went back, i tried no.39 which was also out of alignment. i took another break and return to see three more bikes. i mounted onto the first one, no.21 and make do with it for the remaining 10mins. when i parked my bike after my circuit revision, i looked for bike 32 and placed my helmet onto the bike.
45mins later, it was time for lesson 8, the evaluation. i dont know if its the bread (that i force myself to eat) and the milo (i dont really like milo) or was i too nervous, i could feel my heart pumping very fast and i was breathless.
i was the last bike. i went to the first course - slope, i did fine. then i went to the second course - figure 8. i had a hunch that i didnt kicked my gear back to 1. but i couldnt change it already cos supposingly, our right feet should never touch the ground. i decided to risk it. i went in, kicked up the gear, completed my first turn, prepared to do my second turn when i lost control. i struggled to balance myself but i fell. dammit!!! immediately after the fall, the pumping seems to cease. i completed the test and got what i deserved - please try again. =(
sunday, 31 dec
i met up with reys and keong at town. we had some drinks and nuggets at nydc. didnt had appetite cos the cab uncle's driving was really bad. i wonder if he did that on purpose. rude uncle. *tsk tsk* then, we went to shop for rey's agnes b. bag. after she got her bag at lido isetan, we went to macs. i was craving for fries not long after we left nydc. i dont know whats up with the fries craving. this is like the third time in 2 weeks.
i ended up at cozy bay a couple of hours later. i was excited when i was told that fireworks could be seen. at 12am, when the fireworks started, everyone tried to catch a glimpse of it. but all we see are reflections of the fireworks on the suntec's glass windows. =/ we hung around till 2.30am.
anyway, wishing everyone a great year ahead!
