visit to chinatown
just came back from chinatown. definitely a place filled with chinese new year's feel and atmosphere. everyone is rushing to get decorations and goodies. keong and i were supposed to shop around the streets. but we ended up at yum cha cos i was hungry (didnt had lunch earlier). we had steamboat. the food is better than i expected (i heard it wasnt very nice) and their presentation is kinda creative. at one point, keong was laughing so hard. the waitress took 2 tablets and placed it in a saucer. she then informed us that its for cleaning our hands. afterwhich, she poured water onto the tablets and they grew like 4 to 5 times the height. it was only then we realised the tablets were compressed hand towels. hilarious!after dinner, we decided to get what i needed and leave the place. i bought decorations, sweets, jellies, nail art lacquer, nail polish and cuticle nipper.total damage for the day: 90++i have been coughing for days. i didnt used to get cough before i fell sick the last time. not the best time to get sick. =/ the best solution: lotsa h2o.im looking forward to more shopping tomorrow, havent got what i needed - 2 pair of heels and a white bag. it will be a fruitful day. till then, take care!
