usual hangout
i met up with reys in the evening for our usual meetup. we merely shopped for 2 hours and we were complaining about our feets aching. that just shows how long we havent exercise. i managed to get 2 mango skirts and a zara top, whereas reys didnt had much luck with her jeans. we went to nydc for dinner and chatted till 11pm. total damage for the day: $100i'm spending more than i should. =(

count your blessings
i've always treasure and cherish everything that i have, the people in my life. i consider myself very lucky and fortunate. i love those who care for me and i accept them the way they accepted me. i believe everyone has their virtues and shortcomings. i learn to accept that everyone has different thinking and perception, forcing your point on others doesnt work.i'm glad i pulled through a tough period, with keong's help. i remember how i used to find fault with everything and everyone. i didnt see that i was the one making my life miserable and i blame others for it. it took a while for me to wake up and realise it.now, due to circumstances, i'm changing for the better and is still doing so. thank you to keong and all my friends who have been very patient with me, supporting me.being contented is happiness.

my latest obsession
i've been surfing alot on vespa LX150 - the bike i so want to get. i've decided on a black machine with biege seats for the moment. i even thought about adding customised designs to the body of the machine. i cant wait to own it!!
after some research, i realised there are very few 2nd hand machines. high demand, low supply. which means i would have to get a new machine, the lowest price as mentioned is 7.4k. madness! but at least im not rushing things, cos its probably going to cost more if im impatient.

sick!
i have been staying mostly at home during the past weekend. i spent my weekend running errands and helping out with housechore work.i would have rot without keong's company, though it wasnt for long cos he had to go to work. sunday evening, we had dinner at the japanese restaurant near tampines swimming complex. the restaurant seems rather popular. we had to queue more than 15mins for a table.during the wee hours on monday morning, i felt so uncomfortable, i woke up. had trouble getting back to sleep later. i took more than an hour to go back to sleep. and you probably guessed it, i woke up late for work.i waited for keong to come by, before we went to the doctor. i was having a dry throat and the doctor gave me only lozenges. i should recover if i have ample rest, the doctor said.that night, i had the intention of sleeping in the living area but my aunt was probably watching television. in order for my throat not to get worse (air con makes the throat dryer), i placed 2 cups of water in the room and i breathe through a damp cloth while i sleep.fortunately, it didnt get worse. but unfortunately, it didnt get better either.this morning, i got up at 7.15am. usually, i'll make it for the 8.20am bus but i had no idea why i missed it. i didnt waste time today. i walked to the train station and got to the office at 9.15am. the entire day, i was so sleepy (despite sleeping early the day before). it must be the cold tablet i took last night. at noon, i had this mild headache and it got worse along with time. the nagging pain is just annoying. so, im going to shower and rest early tonight. cant afford to take any more mcs. 2 mcs in 2 weeks during my probation period doesnt reflect very well.good night all!

it seems like a short week..
- 14 march -i went for my first sales visit with kelvin on wednesday. the first company we went, was a place so familiar, where i spent 3 years mugging. yes! nanyang polytechnic. didnt get to walk around though.
by the end of the day, we visited 7 companies. quite an experience but rather tiring.
- 15 march -
keong came to pick me up from work. we went to haagen dazs for the ice cream he owed me. =) their macadamia has to the best! later, we met up with a couple of friends for dinner around bugis, followed by some window shopping.
- 16 march -
i rushed to finish my work. then, i met up with grace, lyd, choons and javvy for movie - "stomp the yard". not something i would choose to watch but the show is good (it was grace's recommendation!).

sick at home
down with gastric flu.
woke up especially early this morning (thought i could go to work earlier), took a bathe, make-up but ended up not going for work. was feeling weak and cold.
went to the doctor in the morning. waited an hour for my turn. the doctor gave me only 2 medicines, which i didnt take cos i doubt it will help. the doctor said gastric flu is caused by 2 reasons.
1. stress; insufficient sleep
2. too much oily, refined / processed food (eg. fried food, hamburger, bread..)
the solution: eat more wheat, oat, sweet potato, potato, vegetables, fruits
i got home with breakfast and lunch. but i ended up joining my family at this japanese restaurant near tampines swimming complex. i was just curious about the restaurant cos my aunt was saying that their concept is quite unique. we got there at 11.50am. waited for 10 mins before the restaurant opens for business.
a pretty cozy place with the dark brown table, chairs and flooring. on the left, a row of green bamboos were standing on pebbles, a contrast to the wood. on the right, there were 5 counters; the sushi counter, drinks & dessert counter, the main course counter; the fried food counter and seafood counter. for all the counters except the sushi, there are pictures of the dish/drink with a cup of chopsticks beside it. to order, we have to pick up one of the chopstick in the cup and put it into the basket on our table. the waiter/waitress will take the chopsticks and key in our order.
the price is pretty reasonable. sushi are priced at 99 cents per plate, don are priced from $6.90 onwards (if im not wrong. and the portion are pretty big), yaki tori at $5.90, a big bowl of miso soup at $2.60, a big cup of orange juice at 2.50 per cup.
after lunch, marcus and i went to get teppanyaki for mervin. then, we took a cab home.
back at home, i took a nap. woke up 2 hours later cos a lady from a recruitment agency called twice. she offered a 2K job, position was price assistant in a freight-forwarding MNC company. i pushed away the offer and she asked if any of my friends are interested. drop me a msg if you are. *i didnt ask about the responsibilities and working details
the rest of my evening was spent having dinner and packing my room.
dessert - strawberry

great sunday
for the first time, keong and i arrived at our destination right on time, just as planned. we got to east coast at 9.30am for mac breakfast. the whole restaurant was filled with so many people, quite a no. in rollerblades.
we took 10 mins to look for a table. and keong queued for like 15 mins before his turn, while another guy who came much later bought his food in less than 10 mins. keong said that the lady at the counter was very slow.
at 10.30am, we went to rent bikes. i think they were having a promotion: 1 hour free 1 hour. so we got to cycle 2 hours for $7. shiok! we practically cycled from one end to the other end. and i'm so happy today! cos i managed to master to ride free hands, all thanks to keong. =)
after lunch at subway, we went to cck to buy ingredients for dinner. watched 2 vcds; my boss daughter and another chinese show by andy lau.
a healthy weekend spent. should do it more often. next time, i want to learn roller-blading!

celebrations!!!
the 2 important persons in my life; grace & keong
i met up with choons and grace at bugis. after collecting the cake from four leaves and bought the levis voucher for keong, we met up with lyd at raffles hospital.
the venue: blue jazz
bert joined us shortly after we got there. finally, keong came at 9pm. after the appetizer and main course, the cake was presented. i thought the cake was quite yummy. keong liked it alot. oh! and i learn something new today. after blowing off the candles, the birthday boy / girl will cut the cake but bert says they are not supposed to cut right to the bottom, which also means they cannot slice the cake. the reason behind it - so that you can still cut your cake the next year. superstition, believe or not; you decide.
keong had to leave right after the cake. so we stayed on for a lil chat.
*thanks lyd for the lift
*thanks bert for the pictures

a busy, enjoyable but tiring week
work has been great so far. my workload slowly increasing. my manager has assigned me to go out with the sales guys for sales visits once a week, so i could learn more about the company and clients, and probably suggest marketing strategies. im glad i accepted the offer, instead of the other two.i met up with reys on wed after work. we went to town to search for her bag. the usual catching up, gossiping, shopping.. it was good. (=thurs, i met up with grace after work. we went to new york new york for dinner. great place. great service. great recommendation from my bestie. the best part, the price is affordable. their fish n chip priced at $9.90 (but not very recommendable), finger food priced between $4.90 to $6.90, if i'm not wrong. then, we went to cartel for a drink, followed by shopping.friday evening, everyone in the office started leaving the company at 6.45pm, after the drivers discussed who they are going to take. kelvin drove the 3 ladies in the accounts dept and myself. we were the last to arrive, cos of my blurness - i left my hp in the office and had to turn back to get it. yeah~ whats new!throughout the dinner, there were a couple of games going on - "feel and guess what's in the bowl", "the fastest to finish a spicy hot chilli, followed by lemon juice". lastly, lucky draw. everyone had a chance to get a prize. names were picked out from a bowl randomly by the manager, and announced. they started from the last prize, so everyone was like "dont call my name". i was lucky to be the top 5. we were made to stand in front while the boss picked the names.1st prize: LCD TV2nd prize: PDA Phone3rd prize: Osim Isqueeze4th prize: -Forgot-5th prize: -Forgot-Yes, i was top 3, since i forgot the forth and fifth. i think its pretty obvious i got 3rd. haha.this morning, i woke up at 8+am. i have been sleeping for less than 6 hours daily, for an entire week. for someone like me, who needs 8 to 9 hours sleep daily, it was torturous. as im typing away now, my eyes can barely open. but im determine to finish this blog entry.i met kelvin and the KL reps at the office. he sent us to my manager's place (bai nian). his son is so adorable - big eyes with long curly eyelash, but i forgot to take a picture. x= he is definitely the busiest in the house, pacing up and down, distributing chocolates, nuts and snacks.we played blackjack and i lost 10 bucks.at 2+pm, everyone left. kelvin gave me a ride to cck mrt. i met keong at his place. we went for a lighthearted and pretty lame movie, iron chef. then, we went for a light lunch at suki sushi. before we went back, we bought lotsa fruits from the supermarket for his konyakku jelly and my fruit salad.just got home not long ago, feeling very sleepy but contented. everything is like slowly coming into place. and i might be getting my bike before may. hurray~!!! i supposed i should get some decent rest tomorrow, and prob pack my room a lil. (=have a great weekend!!
